When you are beginning or in the process of this amazing journey they call adoption, it never feels simple. However, in the end nothing else matters when you hold your child in your arms for the very first time. Our journey to become parents took us a little over a year with Adoption Network Law Center. The experience with everyone from Adoption Network Law Center was amazing! Everyone we spoke with was always upbeat, positive and supported us along the way in completing our family. Each person was truly with you each step of the way even at times when you wanted to throw in the towel; they got you back on track thinking in a positive way! Every person that we spoke with had the same common goal helping us become a family! We can never say thank you enough to Adoption Network Law Center for all the guidance, support but most of all for helping us complete our dream of becoming a family!

Just about when we had given up hope we received the most amazing phone call one day in August! We had been selected by a very courageous girl. Our birth mother was due within the next 2-3 weeks. My husband and I were on cloud nine with excitement and a little fear that we where actually going to become parents, something that we wanted for almost 10 years. We knew we had some time to get things in order. We spent the weekend thinking about what we needed to buy and our travel plans. However, the two weeks became the weekend and Monday morning we received a text message from our birth mother saying that she was in labor. They say every adoption has a story to tell since you don’t get to experience 9 months of being pregnant! And we had our story, not only did our birth mother go into labor early but Monday morning was also the first day of school for me as a teacher. I had to quickly get a substitute and explain to the 30 3rd graders why I was leaving on the 1st day of school and not coming back for some time. My husband and I quickly packed up the car and drove 12 hours straight to the hospital. All along our Advisor from Adoption Network Law Center kept us informed with everything that was going on at the hospital and with our birth mother. At 10:57pm on August 9, about 3 hours before arriving at the hospital we received the 2nd most amazing phone call that our son Jake was born! Yes, he has the world’s best birthday, 8/9/10. We arrived at the hospital a little after 3:00 am exhausted and anxious to hold our son for the very first time. Jake was absolutely precious and perfectly healthy. Then the very next morning we got the privilege and honor meeting our birth mother. She was kind, sweet, sincere and amazing. We were truly blessed.

Whenever we get to share our adoption journey we always start out saying it was the 1st day of school. We still can’t thank Adoption Network Law Center enough for how much they treated us with respect, warmth, love, and the amazing support along the way. Adoption is not an easy process but Adoption Network Law Center makes the process easy by how much involvement and care they put into each family! Jake is now 11 months old and we continue to be blessed by him each and every day. Again, thank you for helping us complete our family!

Dear Adoption Network Law Center,
We are so thankful for all you have done.  You were great to work with, answering our questions and phone calls right away.  It only took 2 short months and we were presented with an adoption opportunity with the perfect birth mother and perfect baby.  Our son Brae is now almost one and were are looking forward to working with you again.  Infertility and miscarriage has led us down this road, and we are so thankful for the wonderful experience.
